The Ask
A long-time client of Second Line Advisors had new leadership at the CEO level and a vision for continued growth and development. With this came the need to upskill and elevate the Enterprise Credit Risk Management function. We were retained to identify a Chief Credit Risk Officer, a seasoned credit risk professional to direct and execute the oversight of all second line credit risk functions for the bank, while reporting directly to the Chief Risk Officer.
The Process
We developed a pipeline of candidates from companies across US based banks, foreign banking organizations, as well as regulators, management consulting, and other financial services organizations. We targeted candidates with a credit risk background, strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills, and regulatory awareness.
The Result
Second Line Advisors placed a credit risk management executive with deep first and second line expertise as well as experiences across top US, regional, and international banks. The candidate also had a deep domain expertise supporting several of the most prominent LOBs and the regulatory understanding required to step directly into this role. The client was pleased to extend an offer within 2 months of the search launch.
